About Shelly

Hello! I'm Rochelle Fox, but most people call me Shelly. I am a 1999 graduate of the Ohio College of Massage Therapy, and I am licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board.

I began my business, "Shelly's Massage Therapy", in 2000, with the goal of providing the residents of this area with professional, affordable massage.

Information about my background:

Originally I became involved in massage therapy because I enjoy working with and helping people. I find that Massage Therapy is a very rewarding and relaxing type of work, and a great way to soothe people's ills. I feel totally gratified when a customer thanks me and says that their back feels much better, and that I have magic hands!

I am happily married to my husband Rich. He loves muscle cars and motocycles. We have a Beagle named Dusty who is pretty much our child. I also own 2 horses - a Swedish Warmblood who I am training in Dressage and a Palomino Quarter Horse I am training to be a pleasure horse.

I have two great brothers, one of which is my twin. I also have a wonderful Mother, and
I am very close to her.

My massage office and web site concept is designed around my life, as I love the tranquility of the ocean, dolphins, beaches, warm weather and palm trees. Horses also are a very important part of my daily life. Both of these aspects are reflected in my massage therapy.

Education:

I graduated from the Ohio College of Massotherapy. I've taken two more additional seminars, which are Neuromuscular release and myofacial release. I plan to continue my education with additional seminars and classes.

I have taken cranial sacral therapy and lymphatic drainage classes from the Upledger Institute based in Florida. I received my Foot Reflexology training from the International Institute of Reflexology. My Equine certification is from Equassage in Virginia

Equine Related Information:

I had been involved in horses for 30 years, and I have ridden and competed in many different disciplines, including hunters, jumpers, and dressage.

I am currently training a Swedish warmblood whom I
am showing in dressage.

My extensive riding experience has given me a unique insight into what is involved in the physical aspect of horseback riding.

That, along with my Massotherapy training, makes
me a superb sports masseus, capable of meeting the
special needs of the equestrian. I even have a special Equestrian Room at my Massotherapy clinic for people who love horses!
